JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking a highly motivated Management Accountant to join our Coulsdon based finance team, on a six month fixed term basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work as a key member of this highly visible finance team in a rapidly growing business.

The focus of the role will be to support the Group Financial Controller with management accounting duties and support on finance processes and policies following the implementation of a new finance system (NetSuite). You will work closely with various departments, including accounting, sales operations and leadership team.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AT JANES

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, key responsibilities include:

  • Produce accurate, reliable monthly management accounts within 8 day timetable, including:
    • Collaborate with FP&A to prepare ‘audit-ready’ revenue analysis
    • Manage P&L posting accuracy at account and cost centre levels
    • Manage journal postings
    • Prepare bank reconciliations
    • Take ownership of accruals and prepayments
    • Prepare balance sheet reconciliation pack
  • Prepare and review of monthly / quarterly VAT returns to be submitted to external accountants across various jurisdictions.
  • Assist with periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries.
  • Provide audit support with financial records, reports and other supporting documentation to auditors, give procedural walkthroughs and other assistance as required.
  • Collecting ad hoc information for specific purposes or reports, providing relevant information on-demand.
  • Identify and drive improvements to systems and processes, assist with process documentation.

THE IDEAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE FOR THIS ROLE ARE

  • Proven work experience within Management Accounting.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to seeing tasks through to completion.
  • Mature approach with the ability and confidence to deal with finance and non-finance individuals on a day to day basis.
  • Excellent communication skills for interaction with personnel at all levels in the organisation.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. 
  • Experience with NetSuite essential.
  • Salesforce, Power BI or Tableau would be advantageous.
  • ACA / ACCA/ CIMA qualified or QBE. 
  • University Degree 2:1 or above would be preferred.
