JOB PURPOSE

Janes IntelTrak is a research and consulting firm that specializes in the
risks present at the intersection of global business activity and national security concerns. We are searching for a Research Associate to join the team in the Washington D.C office. 

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AT JANES

The Research Associate position that would assist with the
tracking of Chinese and Russian business activity as well as help draft analytic products interpreting the significance of this activity for clients. The position entails online research, writing and analysis. The successful candidate must be a U.S. citizen and have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field, such as economics, business, international affairs or regional studies.

• Competent writing skills
• Proven research skills and experience
• Keen attention to detail and quality control
• Analytic ability
• Ability to work under daily deadlines
• Experience and knowledge of matters pertaining to China
• An understanding of international political economy and finance
• Competence with Microsoft Office suite
• Mandarin language skills are preferred
